Banja Luka: Consul Nikolic discusses economic cooperation with the Republic of Srpska

Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Banja Luka Vladimir Nikolic gave an interview to the Republic of Srpska News Agency (SRNA), published on 31 July. The interview was headlined "Six Million earmarked for project implementation". Mr. Nikolic spoke about the projects pertaining economic cooperation, aimed at spurring the economic development of the entire region and motivating young people to stay in these territories.

Ottawa: Memorial plaque honouring Canada-Serbia alliance put up at the City Hall foyer

A brass memorial plaque testifying to the alliance between Serbia and Canada in the First World War was put up at the Ottawa Town Hall on 26 July 2018, on the initiative of the Serbian Embassy in Canada.

PRETORIA: BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT IN MANDELA'S HONOR

Embassy of Serbia in Pretoria organized a basketball tournament on 7 July in honor of 100th anniversary of birth of famous President of South Africa Nelson Mandela, an honorary citizen of Belgrade. The participants in the tournament included the host team, Serbian Embassy, as well members of "White Eagle" club from Johannesburg, and teams from EU, USA, Cuba, Zimbabwe and the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of South Africa, which won.

Moscow: Serbia's Ambassador Live on "Govorit Moskva"

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Russian Federation Slavenko Terzic appeared on "Smart Guys", a "Govorit Moskva" radio phone-in programme, where he answered live questions from the host and the listeners. The topics that featured in the show included the FIFA World Cup Russia, upcoming Serbian visit of Russia's President Putin, Serbia-Russia cooperation in different areas, Belgrade-Pristina negotiations, the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija and everyday life in Serbia.
