Buenos Aires: Lecture about the Serbian cultural and historical heritage

The Embassy of Serbia in Argentina, in cooperation with Professor at the University of Buenos Aires Diego Hernandez Gomez, an expert on the history of the Balkans, organized a lecture about the cultural and historical heritage of Serbia, with focus on the present-day tourist, commercial and political potential of the two countries.

Lisbon: Ambassador Antic on Serbia in First World War

Serbian Ambassador in Lisbon Oliver Antic wrote an article for Diário de Notícias, a Portuguese daily newspaper, entitled The Great War: The Great Anniversary of the Alliance between Serbia and Portugal, describing the circumstances in Serbia right before the World War I began, the victory of the Serbian army over Austria-Hungary, as well as their suffering during the retreat through Albania.

Tokyo: Elementary school children from Fujimi visit the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia

On 2 August, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Japan hosted 80 elementary school children from Fujimi, in the context of cooperation with this twin city of Sabac. The pupils attended a presentation about Serbia in Japanese, which consisted of detailed explanations of the geographic position of Serbia, its history, culture and tradition, as well as of the renowned people from Serbia, including Nikola Tesla, whose bust exists on the Embassy premises.

Buenos Aires: Serbia introduced itself with the poetry of Desanka Maksimovic

The Embassy of Serbia participated in the Second State Seminar on Slavonic Languages, held at the Floreal Gorini Cooperative Cultural Center, sponsored by the Argentina-based Dostoevsky Association and by the Slavonic Literature Department of the Buenos Aires University Faculty of Philology. The seminar brought together students, professors and admirers of Slavonic literature.

Vir: Ambassador visits attendees of Summer School of Serbian Language and Culture

Wednesday, 01 August 2018.
On 30 July, Serbian Ambassador to Croatia Mira Nikolic visited the children belonging to the Serbian national minority who attended the "Savo Mrkalj" Summer School of Serbian Language and Culture on Vir Island. The Ambassador delivered "Tesla" tablet computers to top students of the Summer School, a donation by Belgrade-Danube Rotary Club.

Budapest: Ambassador Drobac publishes an article about the cooperation among the countries of the Danube region

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Hungary Rade Drobac wrote an article for the Diplomat Magazine, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary conference of the Danube Commission in Belgrade, and 70 years since the adoption of the still effective Convention Regarding the Regime of Navigation on the Danube, signed in Belgrade.
