Tehran: Ambassador Todorovic on examples of cultural cooperation PDF Print E-mail

altThe Iranian News Agency, IRNA, released the conversation with Ambassador Dragan Todorovic, who spoke about the closeness and cooperation between the two countries in the cultural area.

"Culture is the prerequisite for good relations in all other areas. Many Iranian books have been translated to the Serbian language; Serbia was a special guest at the International Book Fair in Tehran, at the time when two books by Serbian authors were translated to Persian. There is good cooperation in the film industry, and an agreement has been made on joint film production. The Week of Serbian Film, that ended recently, was held in three Iranian cities – Tehran, Shiraz and Tabriz", underlined Ambassador Todorovic.

He further stated that Iranian films were very popular and well-known in Serbia, with the tradition of participating at FEST – the Film Festival in Belgrade, where the film "No Date, No Signature" won the jury award.

Ambassador Todorovic further said that Serbian artists participated in Fajr Music Festival and Fajr Applied Arts Festival, as the only foreigners awarded, and that two Serbian music groups visited Iran.

Tokyo: Ancient Roman Culture in Serbia PDF Print E-mail

altA presentation of dishes served at the court of Roman Emperors was organized at the Serbian Embassy in Tokyo, on 4 September, at the initiative of the Japan – Serbia Society, in collaboration with the Society for the Promotion of Music Cooperation between Japan and Serbia. President of the Japan – Serbia Society Tadashi Nagai and Serbian Ambassador Nenad Glisic underlined that a significant number of Roman emperors was born in Serbia, recommending the guests to visit Roman archaeological sites of Viminacium and Gamzigrad when travelling to Serbia.
