EXIHIBITION “THE WONDERS OF TESLA’S WORLD OF ELECTRICITY” OPENED AT THE DIPLOMATIC ACADEMY

The Nikola Tesla Museum, in cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy, officially inaugurated the exhibition “The Wonders of Tesla’s World of Electricity” on 28 December 2006, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tesla.

In the framework of the programme devoted to Nikola Tesla, Mr. Vladimir Jelenkovic, Director of the Nikola Tesla Museum, lectured the attendants of the Diplomatic Academy and inaugurated, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs representatives, the “Nikola Tesla” PC Hall intended for DA’s special training programmes.

LECTURE “EUROATLANTIC INTEGRATION PROCESSES” BY ALESSANDRO MINUTO RIZZO

During his official visit to the Republic of Serbia, Deputy Secretary General of NATO Alessandro Minuto Rizzo delivered for the Diplomatic Academy attendants lectures “European Integration Processes” and “Partnership for Peace” relating to the importance of Serbia’s membership in this organization as it opens fresh possibilities for the enhancement of cooperation and enables Serbia to contribute to peace and stability in the world.

Deputy Secretary General of NATO Alessandro Minuto Rizzo said that by opening the Office in Belgrade, Serbia opted for peace and stability in the Western Balkans.

STUDENTS OF THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF BRUSSELS VISIT THE MINISTRY

1. The Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Directorate General for NATO and Partnership for Peace organized a lecture on the political development of the Republic of Serbia, its relations with the EU and NATO, as well as the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija, for the students of the American University of Brussels. Following the introductory remarks made by Academy Director Bozin Nikolic on the activities of the Diplomatic Academy, the students had a discussion with Dragan Momcilovic, Deputy Director of the Directorate General for the European Union, Sani Dermaku, Director of the Directorate for Partnership for Peace, and Ms Tamara Rastovac, Head of Section of the Directorate for the United Nations.

On this occasion, Director of the Centre of the American University in Brussels Jerome Sheridan held a lecture on the transatlantic relations and the questions of European security and defence policy, for the attendants of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

LECTURE “SERBIA ON THE ROAD TO EUROPE” FOR THE STUDENTS OF THE ANDRASY UNIVERSITY IN BUDAPEST

The Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia organized for postgraduates of the Budapest Andrasy University a lecture “Serbia on the Road to Europe”. Following the introductory remarks made by Academy Director Bozin Nikolic on the activities of the Diplomatic Academy, Dr. Ognjen Pribicevic, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to FR Germany, Ms. Jela Bacovic, Acting Director of the Directorate General for the European Union, and Mr. Ivan Cvejic, Director of the Directorate of Information, held lectures and had discussions with the students of the Andrasy University.

The students found the expressed foreign policy positions very interesting, which was reflected in the words of gratitude expressed on their behalf by Prof. Dr. Reinhard Bettzuege, who suggested that this and other forms of cooperation should be continued.
