The Sector for the European Union and its Department for EU institutions is in charge of following the internal development, operation and the activities of EU institutions: the European Parliament, European Council, Council of the European Union, European Commission, Court of Justice of the European Union, European Central Bank, European Court of Auditors.

The EU Sector keeps track of EU foreign policy and international relations, regional developments and multinational integration in terms of their effect on European integration processes and the overall work of EU institutions.
