Regional cooperation is one of the priorities in the foreign policy of the Republic of Serbia.

Serbia attaches particular importance to the development of cooperation with the countries of the region, being the basis for maintaining and enhancing stability and promoting all-round good-neighbourly cooperation. Sustained progress and deepening of regional cooperation, particularly through regional initiatives, contributes also to the integration of this part of Europe into the European Union.

Regional cooperation enhances the bilateral relations between the respective member States, accelerates the European integration processes in the SEE region and creates conditions for economic progress and improvement of the living standards of the population.
