altOn 30 July, Serbian Ambassador to Croatia Mira Nikolic visited the children belonging to the Serbian national minority who attended the "Savo Mrkalj" Summer School of Serbian Language and Culture on Vir Island. The Ambassador delivered "Tesla" tablet computers to top students of the Summer School, a donation by Belgrade-Danube Rotary Club.

The children had prepared a cultural and arts performance for the occasion and sang Serbian and Croatian national anthems, as well as some folk songs.
Every year two groups of children from all parts of Croatia, a total of approximately 120 of them, each spend a week in one of summer holiday resorts. The children are able to socialize there and, at the same time, learn the Serbian language, Cyrillic script, culture, history and geography of their motherland and other subjects from the national curriculum.

The School was co-sponsored by the Serbian Cultural Society "Prosvjeta" and Zagreb's Serb National Council, while the city of Zagreb provided financial support.
