Paris: UNESCO meets with President Macron PDF Print E-mail

altA UNESCO delegation, comprising also a representative of Serbia, Vice-Chairperson of the Executive Board Tamara Rastovac Siamashvili, met with French President Emanuel Macron and offered support for the reconstruction of Notre Dame Cathedral. The representatives of this organization conveyed solidarity and support of the international community to the French President in overcoming the consequences of fire that ravaged this Paris cathedral, belonging to the world cultural heritage.

New York: A presentation of Novi Sad as European Capital of Culture in 2021 PDF Print E-mail

altAn exhibition entitled "NewNess", presenting the concept to transform Novi Sad as European Capital of Culture 2021, was inaugurated at the Consulate General in New York on 18 April. The exhibition was co-authored by Mr. Srdjan Jovanovic Weiss, professor of architecture at New York City College and by Ms. Dejana Neducin, associate professor at the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.

The event was co-organized by the Serbian Embassy in Rome, Honorary Consul of R. Serbia in the Veneto Region Ms. Loreta Baggio and the Serb Association of Italy.

Bern: "Sumadija and Pomoravlje – The Heart of Serbia" promotion at the Embassy PDF Print E-mail

alt"Sumadija and Pomoravlje – The Heart of Serbia" photographic monographs co-authored by Predrag Cile Mihajlovic and Zoran Petrovic, a photographer from Kragujevac, were presented at the Serbian Embassy in Bern, on 12 April. It comprises 360 pages with over 350 photographs and the text translated to English and a summary translated to German, French, Russian and Esperanto.

Oslo: Serbia takes part in the Francophonie Festival PDF Print E-mail

altThe Embassy of the Republic of Serbia had an active role in two events at the Francophonie Festival in Oslo – organizing a quiz show on poetry, visual arts, writing, poetry recitation, singing and football at the French School in Oslo on 19 March and taking part in an evening of Balkan and Baltic folklore at the African Cultural Centre on 29 March.
