An exhibition entitled "NewNess", presenting the concept to transform Novi Sad as European Capital of Culture 2021, was inaugurated at the Consulate General in New York on 18 April. The exhibition was co-authored by Mr. Srdjan Jovanovic Weiss, professor of architecture at New York City College and by Ms. Dejana Neducin, associate professor at the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.

The decision of the European Commission to designate Novi Sad as European Capital of Culture in 2021 initiated a number of architecture and art projects. In addition to numerous photos, the attendees were able to see several short promotional film features made by the Foundation Novi Sad 2021 which presented projects such as the Awakening of Fruška Gora, A Kaleidoscope of Culture and the Chinese Quarter.



Novi Sad was third on the list of top cities to visit in 2019, compiled by the "Lonely Planet".
