Tokyo: Exhibition "Beautiful Serbia"

Saturday, 18 May 2019.
The exhibition "Beautiful Serbia" was staged at the Tokyo TEN Gallery, from 26 April to 18 May, at the initiative by the artist Akiko Koga, who works with the Embassy on the promotion of Serbian art in Japan. Panels in Japanese language about Serbian tradition at the time of the Feast, on Easter and Christmas, as well as the UNESCO cultural heritage of Serbia, were on display. The Exhibition also presented the photographs of natural beauties, as well as of Nikola Tesla and his achievements and successful Olympic medallists, objects of folk craftsmanship, naive folk art, national costumes, souvenirs and texts about Serbia. The Japanese flag with messages of support, written by the citizens of Belgrade after the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in 2011, was also displayed.

New York: Photographs by Yugoslav artists exhibited in the Consulate General

The exhibition "Selection of works by Yugoslav artists from the collection of Alexander Ostojic" was opened at the Consulate General of Serbia in New York, on 15 May, and will be on display until the end of the month.

London: Presentation of Novi Sad as Europe's Youth Capital

Presentation of the city of Novi Sad as the Youth Capital of Europe in 2019 was organized by the Opens Team from this city at the Serbian Embassy in London, on 14 May. The attendees were addressed by Ambassador of Serbia to the United Kingdom Aleksandra Joksimović and the "Opens" coordinator for international cooperation Valentina Antic.

Moscow: Russian Patriarch decorated Ambassador Terzic

Tuesday, 07 May 2019.
Serbian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Slavenko Terzic received an Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov (III degree) medal from Russian Patriarch Kirill. On that occasion, he granted an interview to TV channel "Spas", associated with Orthodox Church, entitled "Serbia and Russia in the same historical and civilizational field".

Strasbourg: Europe Day and 70th anniversary of Council of Europe observed

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the Council of Europe, in cooperation with other missions of CoE member states, took part in an event on 4-5 May on the occasion of Europe Day and seventy years since the Council of Europe was established in Strasbourg.
