Presentation of the city of Novi Sad as the Youth Capital of Europe in 2019 was organized by the Opens Team from this city at the Serbian Embassy in London, on 14 May. The attendees were addressed by Ambassador of Serbia to the United Kingdom Aleksandra Joksimović and the "Opens" coordinator for international cooperation Valentina Antic.

Ambassador Joksimovic underlined the importance of caring for the young, as well as the need to create an encouraging environment in a society that would enable young people to stay in the country in a situation when the brain drain was a growing concern.

Several dozens of officials, including representatives of the diplomatic corps, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, prominent members of our diaspora, our students and scholarship holders, as well as young people who have had successful careers in the UK, attended the event.
