Kashiwazaki: Ambassador visited Serbian water polo national team on practice sessions in Japan PDF Print E-mail

altOn 6 and 7 July, Ambassador Nenad Glisic visited the city of Kashiwazaki in the Japanese Niigata Prefecture at the invitation of the city's Mayor Masahiro Sakurai where our senior water polo team players are on practice training for the World Championship to be held in Gwangju. Kashiwazaki is the first city in Japan that formed its water polo team and was designated by the Government of Japan to be the host-city for the Serbian national team ahead of the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Addis Ababa: Ambassador Ristic participates in a mini football tournament PDF Print E-mail

altAmbassador to Ethiopia, Aleksandar Ristic, participated in a mini football/futsal tournament in Addis Ababa on July 7, on the team selected by the diplomatic corps. Our ambassador played in the match against the team of government representatives consisting of ministers and the state prosecutor.

Abu Dhabi: "Scenes from our country", an exhibition of paintings PDF Print E-mail

altOn 4 July, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia launched an exhibition of works by academy-trained painter Slobodan Boba Ivanovic, entitled "Scenes from our country". The showcased paintings share a common theme and depict motifs from the Republic of Serbia. This is the first time that a Serbian artist is exhibiting here and an opportunity for the visitors to enjoy the beauty of the sceneries presented.

The painter Slobodan Ivanovic has been living in the UEA for a year now where he paints portraits of eminent persons. He staged a number of solo exhibitions and was included in joint exhibitions in Serbia and worldwide.

Copenhagen: "Copenhagen Post" on the Embassy of Serbia PDF Print E-mail

altThe English language edition of the reputed weekly "Copenhagen Post" singled out the Statehood Day of Serbia as an event of exceptional and notable cultural significance in Copenhagen.

The celebration of the National Day of Serbia held in February at the Royal University Library was listed as one of the most successful events organized by the embassies in Copenhagen.

In addition to the exhibition devoted to 100 years of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Serbia and the Kingdom of Denmark, another segment of the celebration of the Serbian Statehood Day was also the establishment of the first diplomatic library as an expression of the respect of different languages and cultures.

The periodical is dedicated to business people and diplomats, publishing its quarterly supplement called "Diplomat Magazine", which includes political interviews, articles about the life of the royal family, and the activities of the diplomatic community in Copenhagen.
