altAt a ceremony hosted by the Embassy of Serbia in Tokyo, on 12 April, Ambassador Nenad Glisic presented a gold medal to Mrs Etsuko Tsunozaki, Chairperson of the Association for the Promotion of Music Exchange between Serbia and Japan and a member of the Japan-Serbia Society, for a long-standing contribution to the promotion of our country in Japan.

Zagreb: Serbian Film Days PDF Print E-mail

altOn 3-7 April, the third installment of the Serbian Film Days retrospective under the slogan "Movie theatre is back in business" was held at the Tuskanac movie theatre in Zagreb, co-organized by the Serb National Council and the Serbian Embassy. The event was coordinated with the Yugoslav Film Archive in Belgrade, which provided the film reels, and dedicated to the life and work of actress Milena Dravic and director Dusan Makavejev, showcasing a selection of films featuring their artistic work.

Washington D.C.: Serbia at the Festival of Francophonie PDF Print E-mail

altThe Embassies of Serbia and of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Washington D.C. organized a book night with author Vladimir Pistalo as part of "Francophonie DC" festival. The event entitled "Millennium in Belgrade" after the book of the same name, was held on 26 March in the Alliance Française de Washington DC. The book was short-listed for the prestigious annual reward "Femina" for the best translated novel in French in 2018.

Addis Ababa: Ambassador Ristic on economic cooperation for "Capital" weekly PDF Print E-mail

altIn an interview for the Ethiopian "Capital" weekly, published on 7 April, Ambassador Aleksandar Ristic spoke about trade relations between Serbia and Ethiopia, possibilities for cooperation, but also about his experience and impressions regarding Ethiopia.

He emphasized that the two countries had fostered friendly relations for decades, and that prerequisites for developing trade in the fields of health care, pharmaceuticals and agriculture existed and expressed readiness to help to connect Serbian and Ethiopian entrepreneurs. Serbia imports flowers, spices, oils and coffee beans from Ethiopia while electrical equipment and parts from Serbia could be found on the Ethiopian market, ambassador Ristic underlined.

The Ambassador also discussed similarities between the projects "Belgrade on the Water Front" and "Addis Ababa on Rivers".
