Serbian doctors are part of the European Union Training Mission in Somalia, which provides training for the Somali army in the fight against terrorism. Ambassador Zupanjevac also met the Force Commander of EUTM Somalia, General Matteo Spreafico.

Ambassador Zupanjevac stayed in Mogadishu on 9-10 April and on this occasion he presented his credentials to President of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed.
