altOn the initiative of the Embassy of Serbia, a memorial plaque was unveiled at the site of the Honorary Consulate of Serbia that was established a 100 years ago in Montreal. The plaque was placed on the same building that used to house the first Serbian honorary consulate a 100 years ago, while its replica will be kept in the Historical Archive of the city of Montreal.

Chicago: Exhibition "Album of remembrance of our ancestors from WWI" in the Serbian Consulate PDF Print E-mail

altThe exhibition "Album of Remembrance of our ancestors in WWI", will be on show from 10 through 21 November 2018 in the General Consulate in Chicago to mark 100th anniversary of the Armistice Day and Serbian-U.S. alliance. The album contains photos, war diaries, soldiers' letters, postcards, medals and other historiographic materials belonging to the warriors in the First World War, collected by the Association of Descendants of Serbian Warriors.

Helsinki: An exhibition of photographs of Serbian monasteries PDF Print E-mail

altThe exhibition entitled "In Divine Hand" by the Finnish photographer and a member of the Serbian-Finnish Association Saku Pasilahti was opened at the Embassy of Serbia in Helsinki, on November 13. Ten artistic photos of a large format were presented, depicting everyday life and spirituality of Serbian monasteries and churches in the territories of Serbia and Montenegro. The exhibition is open every day till the end of November, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Brasilia: Ambassador Lazic in Brazilian media on Serbia in the First World War PDF Print E-mail

altAmbassador of Serbia to Brazil Veljko Lazic granted an interview to Brazilian Radio Senate. The program entitled "The war that changed the world" was devoted to 100th anniversary since the end of the World War I.

Our Ambassador explained the historical context prior to WWI, the events that led to the war – assassination, ultimatum, the causes and true motives, Serbian huge losses in the war and the circumstances conducive to the creation of the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.

The program was broadcast by 23 national stations in 13 federal states in three installments - on 12, 13 and 14 November including on the weekend of 17 and 18 November.

Budapest: Ambassador Drobac decorated for the development of relations between Serbia and Hungary PDF Print E-mail

altSerbian Ambassador to Hungary Rade Drobac was invested with the Order of the Cross Third Class in recognition of "a prominent role in the development of the Hungarian-Serbian political, economic and cultural ties, as well as the realization of meetings between the representatives of the two countries."
