Antwerp: Exhibition "Ivo Andric – between writer and diplomat" opened PDF Print E-mail

altOn 7 November at the University Library in Antwerp, exhibition "Ivo Andric – between writer and diplomat" was staged in Belgium for the fourth time, thanks to the work done by the Serbian Embassy in Brussels and honorary consul Aleksandar Davidovic. The exhibition sponsored by the Belgrade City Museum with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia comprises 20 panels which offer an overview of the life and work of Ivo Andric as a diplomat. The author of the exhibition is Ms.Tatjana Koricanac, director of the Belgrade City Museum and curator at the Ivo Andric Museum.

Copenhagen: Serbian doctors donate medical equipment to Serbia PDF Print E-mail

altIn a second donor action this year, prominent Serbian doctors in Denmark along with the Embassy of Serbia, provided necessary medical devices and equipment to hospitals in Sabac, Kladovo, Trebinje and Cuprija. Modern hospital beds, ultrasound equipment, walkers, cystoscope and bronchoscope columns, colonoscopes, consumable medical supplies, electric wheelchairs and patient chairs including other medical devices and equipment worth over EUR 100,000 were shipped to Serbia on 6 November.

AnkaraAmbassador of Serbia to Turkey Zoran Markovic made a statement on 1 November in the Chamber of Industry of Ankara on topic "Investment and economic opportunities in Serbia". In the presence of 30 Turkish business representatives in the field of civil-engineering, electronics and IT sector, the Ambassador presented development parameters of our country as well as education level, language proficiency, economic benefits and other arguments showing why Serbia is a good investment destination.

Geneva: Commemorative plaque dedicated to Jovan Ducic unveiled PDF Print E-mail

altThe memorial plaque dedicated to Jovan Ducic, the great Serbian writer and diplomat, who lived seven years in this city, was unveiled in Geneva. The initiative was taken by the Embassy of Serbia in Switzerland, wishing to leave a lasting memory of the time when the famous Serb studied in Geneva, from 1899 to 1906, and the time when he was the permanent delegate of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes to the League of Nations in 1925.
