ambasador i_dijasporaJapan Serbia Society and Serbian diaspora in Japan had a meeting in the Serbian Embassy in Tokyo, on 29 September 2017, at the initiative of the Society’s President Tadashi Nagai, former Ambassador of Japan to Serbia and honorary citizen of Belgrade. This was an opportunity for bringing together Serbian diaspora in Japan and members of the Japan Serbia Society, whose membership has been growing year in year out.

Tallinn: “Applied Nostalgia” photo exhibition PDF Print E-mail

talin 21092017_1An exhibition titled "Applied Nostalgia", authored by two artists from Serbia and Estonia capturing on their photographs similar images of the streets of Belgrade and Tallinn, was staged in the lobby of the National Library of Estonia, on 21 September 2017. A photographer from Belgrade, Marko Nikolic, and his Tallinn counterpart, Rait Tuulas, created this artistic project at the initiative and incentive of the Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia. Each of them photographed street scenes in the counterpart's hometown, seeking motifs reminding them of their own city.

Martin: An exhibition on Slovak people staged by the Museum of Vojvodina PDF Print E-mail

MARTIN 2109017On 21 September, an exhibition by the Museum of Vojvodina titled "Over the Woods and Valleys – Three Centuries of Vojvodina Slovaks", dedicated to presenting the identity features of Vojvodina Slovaks, was launched at the Ethnographic Museum of the Slovak National Museum in the historic town of Martin, under the sponsorship of the Serbian Embassy in Slovakia. The exhibition, inaugurated by Serbian Ambassador Sani Dermaku, will be open in Martin till 15 December, to be moved afterwards to the Slovak National Museum in Bratislava.

Budapest: Cooperation between Serbian and Hungarian entrepreneurs PDF Print E-mail

srp madj_forum_15092017_1On the premises of the Serbian Embassy in Budapest, a Serbian-Hungarian Business/Tourism Forum was held on 15 September. It was co-organized by the Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce and the Hungarian-Serbian Business Council, while the Serbian Embassy provided logistical support. The forum, attended by over one hundred Serbian and Hungarian entrepreneurs, had the aim to present the potentials of Vojvodina in the economy and tourism as well as to intensify economic cooperation with our Hungarian neighbours.
