pestanski omnibus_30092017_BAmbassador of the Republic of Serbia in Hungary Rade Drobac received in the Embassy premises, on 30 September 2017, participants of “Pesta Literary Omnibus”, one of the main programmes within the traditional event “Month of Serbian Culture in Hungary”, organized annually by the Serbian Cultural Centre.

The Ambassador underlined the importance of written works for preserving the identity of the Serbian people, and particularly the segment living outside the motherland, and highlighted the importance of the recent event “Month of Serbian Culture in Hungary”, organized on an annual basis by the Serbian Cultural Centre.

“I would like to thank the writers for supporting - by their presence and participation in this already traditional gathering of men of letters - the major cultural event of Serbs in Hungary. The impact of Serbian culture often reaches far beyond our perception, across the entire area where Serbian or similar languages are spoken, due to which Serbian culture and literary masters living and working outside the motherland, in particular, should be accorded greater attention and offered all the necessary support,” Ambassador Drobac stated.
