New York: Old Serbian jewelry reinvented |

Katarina Cudic, an art historian, a designer and author of artistic jewelry items, with special interest in the history of jewelry and contemporary jewelry, successfully presented her work, in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York. The jewelry items created by author Cudic familiarized the audience with the medieval Serbian jewelry, reinvented in modern style.

On the eve of the upcoming general election in the United Kingdom, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in London organized a panel discussion with Steven Erlanger, The New York Times London bureau chief, about the snap elections in the United Kingdom and their impact on the future relations of the United Kingdom with the European Union and the United States. A considerable number of the diplomatic corps representatives took part in the panel, which was organized in cooperation with the Diplomatic Press Attachés' Association of London.

Thessaloniki: Gathering of Greeks who studied in Serbia |

For the third year in a row, the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia is organizing a reception for the Greeks who have studied at universities in Serbia or in the former Yugoslavia. Former Greek students in Serbia, together with the Serbian Diaspora, represent the best and strongest connection between the two countries. More than 50 former students, now professors, doctors, archaeologists, historians from all parts of Greece attended the reception.

Bratislava: Presentation of the Phototypic Edition of the Miroslav Gospel |

Under the auspices and with the logistical support of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Slovakia, a phototypic edition of the Miroslav Gospel, the oldest document written in the standard Serbian language, and in the Cyrillic script, was presented on the premises of the Polish Institute in Bratislava. A film "In the beginning, there was a word" was screened on the occasion. The "Slovo" association of Novi Sad and the Serbian Association in Slovakia participated in this event's organization.

Oslo: Lecture about Yugoslav captives in Norway between 1942 and 1945 |

In cooperation with the Centre for Holocaust Research and Religious Minorities based in Oslo and the Narvik Centre from Narvik, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Oslo organized, on 21 May, a lecture titled "Yugoslav captives in Norway between 1942 and 1945 – from mass murders by the SS to the Red Cross package under Wehrmacht", held by historian Michael Stokke from the Narvik Centre. The lecture took place at the building of the Holocaust Centre in Oslo.
