Aleksandar Nikolic was appointed Honorary Consul of Serbia in Beersheba at the formal ceremony of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The 8th conference devoted to Nikola Tesla was held at New Yorker Hotel on 11 January, organized by the Tesla Science Foundation in Philadelphia and in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York. This year's conference marked the 10th Anniversary of the Tesla Science Foundation. The conference had a live coverage. Nikola Tesla's devotees, who come from various fields, such as science, education, art and entrepreneurship, gathered on this occasion.

On 9 January, Ambassador Katarina Lalic Smajevic was elected academician by the Board of Ambassadors of Spain's Diplomatic School. News on the Diplomatic School's traditional annual awards ceremony was published in the electronic version of the Spanish daily newspaper "La Razon" and magazine "Hola".

The exhibition dedicated to the great Russian architect Nikolay Petrovich Krasnov, marking 80 years since his death, was opened at the House of Russia Abroad, which was named after Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, in Moscow, on 13 December.

A reception was hosted at the French National Assembly, on 11 December, on the occasion of 180th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and France, hosted by Zivka Park, an MP of the Republic on the Move Party and Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group. The reception was also attended by the Secretary of State for European Affairs Amelie de Montchalin and Ambassador of Serbia Natasa Maric.
