On 18 November, Director of Helsinki's Cultural Centre Caisa Cátia Suomalainen Pedrosa and Serbian Ambassador Sasa Obradovic addressed the audience and opened the sales exhibition of oil on canvas paintings by Belgrade artist Filip Jovanovic, who has lived and worked in Finland for three years now. The exhibition will be on display for one month. |

Egyptian daily „Event Magazine News" is traditionally playing host to Ambassadors under slogan "We spread love", and on 1 October published an interview made during lunch with Ambassador of Serbia Jugoslav Vukadinovic, with traditional dish „koshari" on the menu. Ambassador Vukadinovic thanked for this gesture of hospitality and noted the similarities between the two countries concerning food and music. Discussing every-day topics, the Ambassador also mentioned sports, tourist ties between the two countries, Serbs residing in Egypt and traditionally good relations between the two countries dating back to the times of former SFRY.

An exhibition of paintings by Serbian artist Marijana Andjelic titled "Hymn of Flowers" was on display 12-22 September in the city of Saitama's Nikiya complex, a venue registered as national tangible cultural heritage. The exhibition was co-sponsored by the Serbian Embassy, the Association for the Promotion of Music Exchange between Serbia and Japan, Japan-Serbia Society and Makoto Investments, a Japanese importer of Serbian wines. |

Sofia: Embassy participates in the event "European Heritage Days" |

The Embassy of Serbia in Sofia participated in the event "European Heritage Days" traditionally held in the capital of Bulgaria, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, City of Sofia, Embassy of France and the French Cultural Institute. The event taking place every third weekend in September in more than 50 European states is set to present to the wider public the buildings and objects of special cultural and historical significance including some Embassies and residences. The Embassy of Serbia was open to public on 20 September from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. enabling 200 visitors to tour the premises and learn more about their background. |
