altAn exhibition of paintings by Serbian artist Marijana Andjelic titled "Hymn of Flowers" was on display 12-22 September in the city of Saitama's Nikiya complex, a venue registered as national tangible cultural heritage. The exhibition was co-sponsored by the Serbian Embassy, the Association for the Promotion of Music Exchange between Serbia and Japan, Japan-Serbia Society and Makoto Investments, a Japanese importer of Serbian wines.

The paintings - mineral pigments on Japanese paper, showcase an amalgamation of Japanese tradition and Serbian sensibility and motifs. The imagery includes women wearing traditional costumes, Kosovo and Metohija monasteries and Cyrillic script texts.

Vujic and numbers such as "Autumn Leaves" (Jesenje lišće), "There, Far Away" (Tamo daleko) and "My Struggling Thoughts" (Što se bore misli moje).
