Paris: a reception marking 180 years of diplomatic relations between Serbia and France takes place at the National Assembly

altA reception was hosted at the French National Assembly, on 11 December, on the occasion of 180th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and France, hosted by Zivka Park, an MP of the Republic on the Move Party and Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group. The reception was also attended by the Secretary of State for European Affairs Amelie de Montchalin and Ambassador of Serbia Natasa Maric.
 
The Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Zivka Park underlined that, as a child of Serbian immigrants, it gave her special honor to have the opportunity to make a personal contribution and to work on the deepening of relations and strengthening of economic and cultural ties between the two countries. Secretary of State Amelie de Montchalin noted that a small number of countries could take pride in long-lasting and comprehensive relations and concluded that France will be an honest partner to Serbia on its EU path. Ambassador Maric pointed to the scope of bilateral relations in the political, economic and cultural spheres and the importance of strengthening them and she invited all participants to take an initiative themselves with the aim of promoting relations between France and Serbia.
 
Guests from business, cultural, academic and diplomatic circles - SUEZ Group Senior Executive Vice President Marie-Ange Debon, Emmanuel Menanteau from VINCI Airports, Dr. Stanislav Sretenovic from the Institute for Contemporary History, Film Director Mila Turajlic and Director of the Continental Europe Directorate Frederic Mondolini, addressed the attendees.
