The participants of the international conference of the European Fund for Southeast Europe, held yesterday, at the BiH Parliamentary Assembly in Sarajevo, remained under blockade until the early morning hours of 7 June 2013, prevented from leaving the BiH Parliamentary Assembly after the end of the Conference. The BiH Parliament building was besieged by a large number of protesters dissatisfied with the temporary decision on the issuance of a single identity number, taken by the BiH Council of Ministers, two days ago.

During their meeting in Belgrade, Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak and Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic exchanged information on all issues relevant to Serbia at this juncture. Lajcak familiarized Mrkic with the views prevailing in the EU regarding the expected decision on the date for the start of negotiations and stated that Slovakia supported the initiation of Serbia's accession talks with the EU.

Constructiveness and desire for ever stronger cooperation prevailed at the Ministerial Meeting of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) held in Ohrid, assessed Mrkic. "We will all benefit from such a meeting. This morning, we had many discussions on all SEECP-related topics, and all the participants took part. I am satisfied with the Ohrid Declaration and consider it a step forward in the general creation of links and a climate facilitating the EU accession for all of us", Mrkic said.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic met in Belgrade with British Foreign Secretary William Hague. Secretary Hague and Minister Mrkic devoted most of their talks, which lasted 35 minutes, much longer than the protocol envisaged, to Serbia's European integration. The assessment of the British Foreign Secretary is highly optimistic as regards Serbia's expectations concerning the decision to be reached by the EU Council at the end of June.
