More frequent meetings between Serbian and Nepal businessmen to present their economies and cooperation potentials PDF Print E-mail

NepalFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic, who is on an official visit to Nepal, visited today the Nepal Chamber of Commerce in Katmandu.

In his talks with members of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and prominent invitees, the Serbian Foreign Minister expressed his pleasure at visiting Nepal. He underlined that the relations between Serbia and Nepal were traditionally good, based on mutual understanding and trust. He pointed out that, in the coming year - 2019, Serbia and Nepal would mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of their bilateral relations, and expressed hope that Serbian and Nepal businessmen would participate in this important celebration, in order to intensify the development of relations between the two countries.

NepalDuring the visit to Nepal, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic held a lecture at the renowned Nepal Council on International Relations. The theme of the lecture, attended by many prominent personalities, was "Serbia in the Region, Europe and the World".

The Serbian Foreign Minister took the opportunity to inform the participants on the current situation in the Western Balkans region, Serbia's European accession process, and the situation in Kosovo and Metohija.

Ivica Dacic with Kumar GyawaliFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic, who arrived on an official visit to Nepal, had a meeting with his host, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali.

Welcoming the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Minister Gyawali expressed his great pleasure at the visit, particularly in view of the fact that the frequency of high and highest level meetings has not been commensurate with the traditional friendship between the two countries.

Minister Gyawali expressed the readiness of the Nepal Government to make efforts towards comprehensive promotion of bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly regarding economic cooperation.

During the talks, the interlocutors noted the high level of friendly relations and cooperation existing between the two countries, to which a particular impetus was given by last year's visit to India by then Prime Minister, and current President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.
