Iviaca Dacic with Sergey KislyakFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had a meeting today with Sergey Kislyak, Deputy Chairman of the Federal Assembly Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, who is visiting Belgrade to participate in the International Parliamentary Conference "Towards Peace and Development through the European Union Idea".

In the light of marking Victory Day, 9 May, in Moscow, Minister Dacic underlined that Serbia had a great honour and pleasure to be represented at the celebration at the highest level, through the participation of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, who headed the Immortal Regiment March, together with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, which was followed by the laying of wreaths on the Tomb of the Unknown Hero.

Ivica Dacic with Nikos ChristodoulidesFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had today a separate bilateral meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, a member of the delegation led by President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis who is paying a visit to the Republic of Serbia.

In the talks, both Ministers assessed that the bilateral relations between their states were based on strong friendship and historically affirmed close ties and solidarity between the two peoples. The interlocutors expressed their countries' full understanding and mutual support in the protection of national interests, primarily those of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Cyprus.

Minister Dacic wished a warm welcome to President Nicos Anastasiades, expressing his deep pleasure that this visit was realised.

Ivica DacicFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic paid official bilateral visits to India, Nepal and Sri Lanka from 2 to 8 May, during which he held talks with the highest officials of these three countries.

"The most important message for Serbia after the visits to India, Nepal and Sri Lanka is that we have three strong votes in favour of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.

"It is with great joy and a sense of pride that I received the news that Emperor Akihito of Japan had recently awarded you the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun, the highest Japanese decoration that a foreign national can receive in Japan for outstanding services.

МFAPolitical consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of the Republic of Serbia and Japan were held in Belgrade, on 7 May 2018.

The delegation of the Republic of Serbia was headed by the Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zoran Vujic, and the delegation of Japan was led by the Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Europe and Ambassador for Japanese Western Balkans Initiative, Hiroshi Kawamura.
