New Delhi: Ambassador Maric meets with Indian Parliament Speaker Om Birla

Speaker of the Lock Sabha (House of Commons) of the Indian Parliament Om Birla met with Serbian Ambassador Vladimir Maric on October 10. Birla, on the eve of his trip to Serbia for the 141st session of the Inter Parliamentary Union, posted on Twitter photos of the meeting with Ambassador Maric.

New York: Screening of film "Mihailo Pupin – The Path towards the Light"

Consulate General in New York organized a screening of animated documentary "Mihailo Pupin – The Path towards the Light", authored and produced by Sava Sajko, on 9 October, the birth date of the great scientist. Pupin actually spent most of his life in New York teaching as a Professor at Columbia University.

Doha: "Gulf Times" reports on a meeting between Ambassador Pozderac and Chairman of the Consultative Assembly Al-Mahmoud

Leading Qatari dailies "Gulf Times", "Qatar Tribune" and "Peninsula" reported on a meeting that took place between Chairman of the Consultative Assembly of Qatar Al-Mahmoud and Serbian Ambassador Jasminko Pozderac on 8 October, noting that the talks addressed bilateral cooperation focusing in particular on the parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Tehran: Interview with Ambassador Todorovic on Iranian state television

Monday, 07 October 2019.
Channel 5 of the Iranian state TV aired an interview with Ambassador Dragan Todorovic, which lasted around 50 minutes and was conducted in Persian. The questions of famous Iranian journalist Abdullah Abdi mostly focused on bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Iran, some regional problems as well as the priorities of Serbian foreign policy. In addition, they also discussed life in Iran, well-known Iranian cultural and historical landmarks, old and contemporary writers as well as Islam, especially the Shia denomination predominant in Iran and many other similarities between the two countries.

Milan: Italian Media on the Exhibition of Nikola Tesla Museum

Italian media paid great attention to the exhibition of Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Museum in Milan at Spacio Ventura XV on October 3rd. The opening ceremony was attended by Ambassador Goran Aleksic, who, with the Museum Director Ivona Jevtic, addressed the audience.

Luxembourg: Presentation of Serbia at the CinEast Festival
