Consulate General in New York organized a screening of animated documentary "Mihailo Pupin – The Path towards the Light", authored and produced by Sava Sajko, on 9 October, the birth date of the great scientist. Pupin actually spent most of his life in New York teaching as a Professor at Columbia University.

In her statement, Consul Olgica Vlacic greeted the guests and emphasized huge contribution made by Mihailo Pupin as a scientist, philanthropist and patriot and recalled that this year marked the 95th anniversary since Mihailo Pupin was awarded Pulitzer Prize for his autobiography "From Immigrant to Inventor". She indicated that Pupin's autobiography was an inspiration for this film and urged those in the audience who had not yet read this book to do so and learn more about the life and achievements of this outstanding scientist. Consul Vlacic thanked producer Sava Sajko for sending a copy of his film with English subtitles.
