Ivica Dacic - First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, headed by Vice Minister Cho Hyun, visiting Serbia from 3-5 December 2017.

In today's talks, both sides expressed their satisfaction over the good relations existing between the two countries and confirmed their readiness to further promote them, particularly in the economic area.

Minister Dacic informed the Korean side of the current situation in Serbia, particularly in Kosovo and Metohija, and the course of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

Vice Minister Cho expressed his understanding of, and support for, the positions of the Republic of Serbia regarding resolution of the Kosovo and Metohija issue, through dialogue and by consensus. He also extensively informed the Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs of the current situation in the Korean Peninsula.

The interlocutors noted the need for further enhancing dialogue on a high political level, and renewed invitations for exchanging visits of the most senior officials of the two countries, in the period ahead, particularly in the light of marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Korea in 2019.

A positive assessment was made of Korea's investments in Serbia thus far, while the work of the "Jura" company was singled out in particular. The Korean side announced fresh investments and further intensification of the economic cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Serbia.
