A meeting of National Coordinators tasked with outstanding issues between Serbia and Croatia – Mr. Nemanja Stevanovic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, and Mr. Boris Grigic, Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, was held today in Belgrade.

The meeting was arranged with the aim of encouraging the interstate joint committees for outstanding issues relating to the situation of minorities, state border, missing persons, restitution of cultural heritage, the right to payment of pensions and other issues, to work more effectively.

Both sides agreed that the settlement of outstanding issues was of major importance for both countries' citizens and for the enhancement of overall bilateral relations, therefore emphasizing the need to intensify activities and eliminate stalemate in the work of certain joint committees.

A dynamic of future meetings of the two countries' National Coordinators, aimed at sustained monitoring of the activities carried out by joint committees, has been established in the meeting.
