Bilateral political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the level of State Secretary/Deputy Minister were held in Belgrade yesterday.
The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia was headed by State Secretary Nemanja Stevanovic, and the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia-Herzegovina was led by Deputy Minister Josip Brkic. In the consultations, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, regional cooperation, European integration process, activities in the framework of security and defence policy, and also the cooperation between the two Ministries. Both sides assessed that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina were good, that an intensified top-level political dialogue was ongoing as well as the readiness to resolve open issues in direct discussions, expressing an expectation that a step forward would be made in the coming period in the process of determining a definitive border line. At the same time, the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina had a successful cooperation at both the regional and, broader, international level. The cooperation between the two Ministries was estimated as very good, as demonstrated by the established practice of holding regular bilateral political consultations semi-annually. |
