Minister Dacic meets with President of the Republic of Cuba’s National Assembly

vest1First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with President of the National Assembly of People's Power of the Republic of Cuba Esteban Lazo, during the Cuban official's first visit to the Republic of Serbia.
 
 In the cordial talks they confirmed the traditional friendship and closeness of political views, also discussing the prospects for further promotion of bilateral relations, primarily in the economy. The potentials of the free trade area in Mariel, Cuba, were presented, while the officials also discussed intensifying cooperation in the fields of public health and agriculture.

Interest in the preservation of positive dynamics of political dialogue was reaffirmed, along with the mutual support concerning issues of priority interests. The continuity of a principled position and support of the Republic of Cuba for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia was highlighted in particular.

They agreed on further communication regarding the future exchange of visits at the high and top levels, also welcoming the successful parliamentary cooperation.
