Head of the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora, Dr. Slavka Draskovic, Holds a Lecture at the Diplomatic Academy

Slavka DraskovicHead of the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, Dr. Slavka Draskovic, gave a lecture today to the attendants of the MFA Diplomatic Academy.

By way of an introduction, Head of the Diplomatic Academy, Aleksandra Kovac, pointed to the importance of this lecture which, being a part of "The Serbian people in the region" course, falls under the basic syllabus of the diplomatic training of the 2013/2014 generation.

Speaking on the topic "The Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region", Dr. Slavka Draskovic focused on the importance of the Diaspora and the Serbs in the region from the demographic, cultural, sport and other points of view, and from the angle of intellectual and research source of capital.

The Diaspora's economic contribution to Serbia was highlighted in particular, and the Government's efforts to restore confidence in the system's institutions, with emphasis on the concrete activities of the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region.

Apart from the DA attendants, the audience also included representatives of the MFA organizational units.
