+ larger fontnormal font- Smaller font
The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic in Serbia in Moscow is in touch with Serbian workers contracted to build facilities in Sochi, in order to solve, as quickly as possible, the problems that arose.

The Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Moscow travelled to Sochi with the aim of talking on site with the Serbian workers and their employers.

Simultaneously, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Moscow contacted the employers as well, requesting that working and living conditions of Serbian construction workers be improved, and that they be ensured regular payment of wages. It was agreed with the employers that the workers wishing to return to Serbia are enabled to do so freely, with the back wages paid them.

According to the information obtained from the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Moscow, several dozen Serbian workers, out of more than 200 of them, have already returned to Serbia from the town of Veseloy, while a certain number moved to other companies. Around 100 Serbian construction workers currently reside in this town waiting to be paid for their work, following which they are expected to return to Serbia.

All Serbian nationals who are experiencing problems of this sort in Russia should directly approach the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Moscow, which will undertake all necessary actions aimed at protecting their interests.
