Mrkic - Warlick_3Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic received today a farewell call from US Ambassador to Belgrade Mary Warlick and commended her personal and professional efforts aimed at the further development of the bilateral relationship between Serbia and the United States.

In meeting it was commonly recognized that the previous period had seen a further promotion of relations, particularly in terms of political dialogue, economic, defence and police cooperation between the two countries.

Mrkic - CDU/CSU_2Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkić met today with the representatives of CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group in the Bundestag, headed by Andreas Schockenhoff, Deputy Head of the Group and Hans-Joachim Falenski, Foreign Policy Advisor.

During the meeting, they touched upon issues like the further relations between Serbia and Germany and the EU integration process of Serbia. Minister Mrkic pointed out the unambiguous commitment of the Republic of Serbia to its membership of this organization and briefed his interlocutors on the activities the Serbian Government had undertaken to meet all the criteria necessary to open negotiations with the EU, including the implementation of all agreements reached in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic hosted today a luncheon to say goodbye to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia Aleksandr Konuzin.

Minister Mrkic paid tribute to Ambassador Konuzin for the cooperation and his efforts to promote bilateral relations between Serbia and Russia, and expressed the hope that the coming period would see intensification of relations in all areas.

The main topics of their talks concerned an all-round bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Russia, where they commonly agreed that relations between the two countries were friendly and developed and that there were no outstanding issues, expressing at the same time their readiness to strengthen them in the future.
