Bilateral political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the Republic of Serbia and Montenegro PDF Print E-mail

MFA RS and MFA MNBilateral political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro were held today in Belgrade at the level of MFA Secretary Generals.

The Serbian delegation, headed by Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Veljko Odalovic, and Montenegrin delegation, headed by Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Veselin Sukovic, in the first session of consultations focused mainly on property/legal and status-related issues as well as on the strengthening of cooperation between the two ministries' diplomatic academies.

Minister Dacic recalled the decades-long traditionally good relations between Serbia and Ghana and called for the strengthening of cooperation in all areas of common interest.

Welcome to the ceremony marking the Serbian Diplomacy Day.

I am greatly honored and pleased to greet you and to congratulate the Diplomacy Day to all members of the Serbian Foreign Ministry.

The official ceremony marking this day is an expression of the necessity to clearly position diplomacy as an extremely important segment in the functioning of the Government and society. Moreover, it is an opportunity to sum up the results of Serbia's past foreign political activities.

Ivica DacicFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic talked today to Mexican Senator Gabriela Cuevas Barron, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), who is paying a visit to Belgrade to participate in the regional Sustainable Development Goals seminar, co-organized by IPU and the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

Minister Dacic emphasized that the Republic of Serbia has continually been a member of this largest international parliamentary organization for full 127 years now, and that it perceived IPU as a very important organization tackling current global issues, often in collaboration with the United Nations.

Ivica DacicFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic has received today new Ambassador of the Italian Republic Carlo Lo Cascio who assumed his duties in the Republic of Serbia in late April.

In the spirit of the friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation, Minister Dacic wished Ambassador Lo Cascio a successful tenure in the Republic of Serbia.
In the cordial talks, the two collocutors noted an exceptionally high level of the bilateral relations and expressed mutual readiness for the further intensification of political dialogue and cooperation in many areas of common interest.

Mr. Secretary General,
Fellow Ministers,
Excellencies,
Ladies and gentlemen,

It gives me great pleasure that we have gathered today in Catania and to have the opportunity to take stock of our joint activities over the past year in the Adriatic and Ionian region.

I would like to thank the Italian Republic for providing facilities for the current AIC meeting in an extended format along with EUSAIR Ministers, reaffirming once again that the Strategy is an efficient synergy mechanism enabling even more meaningful cooperation among EU Member States, EU Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries.
