Budapest: Serbia-Hungary Business Forum

altBudapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Administrative District of Northern Banat, in cooperation with the Embassy of Serbia in Hungary, hosted the forum entitled "Promotion of economic potential of the Northern Banat District with particular focus on cooperation in the environmental area", at the Serbian Embassy, on 7 June.

Ambassador Rade Drobac said that the Embassy of Serbia developed good business relations with BCCI and collaboration in many activities of economic integration of the two countries. He expressed pleasure at the signing of the Agreement on Cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina and BCCI last year as well as a number of cooperation agreements between local self-government units in Vojvodina and BCCI members. He pointed out that national minorities in both countries constituted connective tissue of economic cooperation between them.

BCCI President Gabor Colto said that the interest and engagement of the Serbian Embassy to Hungary in promoting economic cooperation between the business people of the two countries was very encouraging, adding that such events should contribute to the promotion of business relations. The fact that Serbia is on its path to the EU is of significance in that regard.

The Business Forum was an opportunity for presenting economic and tourist potential of the Northern Banat District. Representatives from the municipalities of this District used videos to present investment and tourist potential of their municipalities.
