Tunisia: Serbia at the Great War Exhibition |

![]() The Serbian Embassy in Tunisia loaned the exhibits from the History Museum to the exhibition authors Pierre Emmanuel Gillet and Raphael Simon. Significant role of Serbia in WWI and the plight of its army and civilians were displayed on the boards dedicated to Serbia. Parts of a piece written by Milos Crnjanski, published in "Vreme" magazine in 1927, describing the suffering of the Serbian soldiers were on display for the first time at an exhibition and translated to French for this occasion. Photographs of the restored Memorial to French-Serbian Friendship at Menzel Bourguiba were also exhibited. ![]() Apart from the French Ambassador to Tunisia Olivier Poivre d'Arvor, the attendants were also addressed by Serbian Ambassador Nikola Lukic. ![]() Twenty-five students attending French high school took part in the preparations for the exhibition. In addition to a great number of the French and Tunisians, representatives of our Diaspora also attended the Exhibition as well as friends of the Embassy. The Exhibition will also be on display at high schools across France. |
