 OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić today met his Special Representative in Ukraine Ambassador Heidi Tagliavini, OSCE Chief Monitor in Ukraine Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan and OSCE Chief Observer at the Russian Checkpoints Gukovo and Donetsk Paul Picard, who informed the Chair about their activities and the challenges they face in their work.

 OSCE Chairperson-in-Office/ First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic welcomed the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2202 underlining the necessity that all signatories of the Minsk Document fully and unconditionally complied with the comprehensive cease-fire agreed in Minsk on 12 February.

 Stressing OSCE commitments to the country and its people, Dacic emphasized the importance of improved inter-ethnic relations, implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement, strengthening of the rule of law and of reforms in various areas the Mission participates in and supports. The Government’s Strategy on Integrated Education and its significance for inter-ethnic relations were also discussed during the visit.

 The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office/First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic offered today full support for the reforms being implemented by the Government of Montenegro and commended the progress achieved towards the Euro-Atlantic integration, one of the country’s strategic goals, urging the Government to make the most of OSCE support in key areas such as the rule of law, justice and combating corruption and organized crime.

 The OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on the participants of the “Art, Blasphemy and Freedom of Speech” panel and on a synagogue in Copenhagen in which two civilians lost their lives and five police officers were injured, and offered his condolences to the families of the victims.
