At its meeting of 22 August 2017, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Decision on visa exemption for the nationals of the Islamic Republic of Iran, holding ordinary passports. The Decision is published in the "Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia" No. 79/2017 of 25 August 2017 and enter into force on 2 September 2017.

Acting Assistant Minister for Consular Affairs, Ambassador Aca Jovanovic, on 22 August 2017, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, upon receiving his Letter of Commission, presented to Mr. Zoran Djukanovic, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Serbia with a seat in Belgrade, the exequatur required for consular jurisdiction in the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
