Volos 01The establishment of a Consulate of the Republic of Serbia, headed by Honorary Consul Simeon Ocomokos, was officially marked in Volos at the Volos Palace Hotel, on 15 September 2018.

The opening ceremony was attended by the following Serbian Government officials: Mr. Mladen Sarcevic, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development; Mrs. Ana Langovic-Milicevic, State Secretary at the said Ministry; Ms. Vera Vukicevic, Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Marko Popadic, Special Advisor at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development; Serbian Embassy representatives in Athens: Ambassador Dusan Spasojevic and Mr. Milan Vukosavljevic, Minister Counsellor; Consul-General in Thessaloniki Sinisa Pavic; a number of high-ranking guests from Volos and the region; representatives of the city; cultural institutions; the Church; the Armed Forces; the Police; as well as parents with children attending Serbian Supplementary Schools in Volos and Larissa, led by Ms. Ljubica Pokrajac-Psaros, their teacher.
