REPUBLIC OF SERBIA OPENS CONSULATE IN THE TOWN OF MARTIN, SLOVAK REPUBLIC, HEADED BY HONORARY CONSUL

slovackaThe Consulate of the Republic of Serbia in the town of Martin, Slovak Republic, headed by honorary consul Dr. Mojmir Vrlik, was formally established on 22 January 2018. In line with the usual diplomatic practice, the Consulate was opened at a formal ceremony and Letters of Commission and Exequatur were exchanged. On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister Mrs. Vera Vukićević handed over the Commission to the Honorary Consul with consular jurisdiction in Žilina, Banská Bystrica and Trenčin self-governing regions. The Consulate of the Republic of Serbia thus started its activities.

The event was attended by the Vice-President of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and Mayor of Martin Mr. Andrej Hrnčijar, Ambassador Martin Bezak, Director in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ms. Erika Jurinová, President of Žilina self-governing region, Mr. Igor Homa, Mayor of Žilina and MP in the National Council of the Slovak Republic, H.E. Šani Dermaku, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Slovak Republic as well as many other public figures, representatives of the diplomatic corps and other officials from the Slovak Republic.
