In the talks, the collocutors assessed that the substantive, multi-faceted relations between the two countries were on a constant rise and affirmed readiness to further strengthen mutual dialogue, exchange visits at all levels and establish further economic ties between the two countries.

Emphasizing that he was pleased with the two countries' results and cooperation achieved with the administration of previous Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Minister Dacic expressed his belief that Serbia and Japan would continue same level contacts with the newly-formed Government of Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga as well, to which Serbia was sincerely committed.

The Serbian Foreign Minister wished Ambassador Maruyama every success both professional and personal.

Ambassador Maruyama said that he would remember Serbia fondly and that he was very pleased with the fact that the political dialogue between the two countries was promoted during his tenure and that several important business projects were also implemented.
