First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a courtesy call from the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia Damjan Bergant.
Minister Dacic welcomed the Ambassador and expressed hope that, having in mind good relations between the two countries, the period ahead will see even more intensified promotion of cooperation in all areas of common interest, especially in the economic field. He highlighted good cooperation that was achieved between Serbia and Slovenia during the crisis caused by the corona virus.
The new Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to the Republic of Serbia, Damjan Bergant, thanked for the meeting and expressed his belief that during his tenure bilateral relations between the two countries will be even better and more diverse. He also emphasized that he expected that, following the stabilization of the situation caused by the corona virus pandemic, the sixth joint session between the two governments will be held, as well as that Foreign Ministers will meet again. He underlined good cooperation between the two countries in international organizations and pointed out that Slovenia will continue to strongly support Serbia on its EU integration path.
