First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic told Tanjug reporters today that the decision to ban flights operated by Montenegro Airlines from landing was neither a political decision nor a reciprocity measure, but rather a measure of the civil aviation authorities exclusively responsible for issues in connection with the Serbian national airline, which should be on an equal footing with Montenegro's.

One could witness the degree of misunderstanding and lobbying for the interests of the Montenegrin authorities in Belgrade yesterday, regarding the decision not to give Montenegro Airlines a landing slot at the Belgrade airport, said the Minister.

No one asked President Milo Djukanovic and Prime Minister Dusko Markovic about the reason behind Air Serbia not obtaining its landing slots at Podgorica and Tivat airports, noted Minister Dacic.

Once Air Serbia obtains its landing slot, so will Montenegro Airlines, Minister Dacic stated.
The Minister underscored that politics did not affect the matters within the responsibility of the civil aviation authorities.
