First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia Nikola Dimitrov.

The Ministers exchanged their experiences regarding the measures taken to combat COVID-19, information on the current epidemiological situation in Serbia and North Macedonia, and plans for the further easing of restrictive measures introduced in the past few months. Both sides assessed that the epidemic was under control and that, due to this reason, gradual easing was underway, i.e. lifting of a number of measures in force since March.

Minister Dacic informed his counterpart that foreign citizens no longer needed to request special approval for entry into the Republic of Serbia, and that standard border-crossing procedures were applicable again.

Both Ministers were pleased to note that bilateral relations were good and that conditions for continuing the intensified cooperation and deepening of relations between the two friendly countries were met, by keeping the epidemic under control. In that context, Minister Dacic invited Minister Dimitrov to visit Serbia in the upcoming period, which he gladly accepted.
