First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received a letter of appreciation addressed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al Zayani.

In the letter, Bahrain's Foreign Minister conveyed expressions of deep respect to H.E. Mr. Ivica Dacic, demonstrating commitment to further deepen friendship between the two countries and to advance the shared interests in regional and international peace, security and development.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain underlined that the Serbian community in their country was provided care and attention, while sending a strong message of support to the Serbian people with wishes for safety and good health in these challenging times.

Your Excellency,

I write to convey to Your Excellency my deepest support and solidarity as the whole world confronts the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID- 19).

In this context, I would like to reiterate, Excellency, Bahrain's assurances of continuous care and attention to the Serbian community in the Kingdom, which reflects so clearly the firm friendship and solidarity between the two countries and peoples. Bahrain's health authorities are determined to maintain the health and safety of our Serbian expatriates, including through the provision of the necessary laboratory tests and treatment to limit the spread of Coronavirus.

To this end, the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain has taken steps to combat Coronavirus, in line with the international standards of the World Health Organisation (WHO), putting in place precautionary and preventive measures aiming at protecting the health and safety of all in Bahrain.

I can assure you, also, of the importance placed by Bahrain on combating Coronavirus, and protecting the health and safety of citizens, residents and expatriates alike. May I further underline the Royal orders of His Majesty the King to provide comprehensive care and free treatment for all residents and expatriates in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the implementation of the highest standards of healthcare for those receiving treatment, based on His Majesty's firm belief in the shared values of humanity and brotherhood among people.

The relationship between our two countries has seen tremendous growth in the last few years, with Your Excellency's visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain last year, in particular the important meetings that took place, truly reflected the strong bond that connects our two nations. I look forward to working with you to further deepen this bilateral friendship, as well as to advance our shared interest in regional and international peace, security and development, and wish Your Excellency and the people of Serbia safety and good health in these challenging times.
