Minister Ivica Dacic and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla discuss the COVID-19 pandemic

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic talked on the phone with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.

The discussion revolved around the COVID-19 pandemic. Both Ministers exchanged information on the measures taken by the two countries aimed at ending the scourge and providing effective treatment for people infected with the coronavirus.

In addition, Minister Dacic informed his Cuban counterpart that the Serbian Government was actively working on plans to evacuate Serbian citizens who remained stranded abroad due to international flight cancellations and the Covid-19 pandemic, including the group of 30 people who returned to Serbia from Cuba via Moscow.

Ministers Dacic and Parrilla discussed possible cooperation models in the field of health care and agreed to continue discussing that and other topics with the aim of successfully combating the COVID-19 pandemic which represented the biggest global challenge.
