First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic said in a statement for Tanjug news agency that 24 medical workers were among the Serbian nationals arriving to Serbia today on a flight from Germany.

"As was already announced, the Serbian Government in a concerted effort with the President of the Republic arranged an Air Serbia flight to Berlin and Frankfurt. This flight also transferred 174 German citizens to Berlin and will repatriate as many Serbian nationals", Minister Dacic said.

The Minister stated that 24 healthcare workers would return on this flight, too, who left their jobs in Germany to help Serbia, despite a threat that this would prevent them from landing a job anywhere in the EU later on.

Minister Dacic said that one or two flights to Malta were planned for tomorrow, depending on the number of our nationals willing to return to Serbia, given that many were giving up on learning about the mandatory quarantine on arrival to Serbia.
