First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic talked on the phone with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu discussing the ongoing Covid-19 situation and measures taken by their countries to combat the pandemic.

Minister Çavuşoğlu thanked First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dacic for the assistance of Serbia extended by boarding 150 Turkish nationals on the plane sent to Turkey this morning to repatriate Serbian citizens, enabling them to return to their homes as desired.

This was yet another demonstration of solidarity in difficult times testifying to the closeness of our two peoples and states, having been further strengthened also through the good relationship maintained between Presidents Erdoğan and Vucic.

As a token of gratitude Turkey will send 500 Covid-19 test kits on the plane that will bring the Serbian citizens back home.

The Ministers voiced hope that the two countries would soon defeat the vicious disease and successfully overcome the global crisis caused by the pandemic outbreak.
